How much of your impact portfolio is verified — and how much is asserted?

Most impact reports mix both. The Impact Claims Check reads any fund's impact report and returns a one-page assessment: every material claim, classified on a five-tier evidence ladder — from independently verified to unverifiable as stated — mapped against the Impact Frontiers Five Dimensions and IRIS+, with the specific gaps an allocator can ask a manager to close.

Analyst-reviewed, grounded in open standards, free for allocators.

01 · What you get

A one-page assessment, not a black-box score

1

Every material claim classified

With the reasoning, not just the tier.

2

Coverage mapped to the Five Dimensions

The Impact Frontiers Five Dimensions: What, Who, How Much, Contribution, Risk.

3

The documents to close each gap

The concrete documents to request from the manager.

02 · How it works

The evidence ladder

Every material claim in the report is read and placed on one of five tiers, from independently verified down to unverifiable as stated.

V4

Independently verified

A named third party verified the specific figure.

V3

Methodology-disclosed

A recognized open methodology, applied visibly, with assumptions disclosed.

V2

Internally documented

Provenance shown, but not replicable from the document.

V1

Asserted

A bare claim: no methodology, no source, no baseline.

V0

Unverifiable as stated

No unit, no period, no boundary; cannot be checked even in principle.

04 · Notes

A few things worth knowing

Whose report can I submit?

Any fund's public impact report — a manager you're evaluating, considering re-upping with, or already hold. The assessment is prepared for you as the requesting party.

Is this a rating or a score?

No. Each material claim is classified on the five-tier evidence ladder above, with the reasoning shown. There is no aggregate score and no ranking against other funds.

What standards does the assessment use?

Coverage is mapped against the Impact Frontiers Five Dimensions of Impact (What, Who, How Much, Contribution, Risk) and IRIS+ — both open standards, not a proprietary framework.

How long does it take?

We respond within 2 business days with your one-page assessment by email.
